At work we had a small competition for the birdspotting app, and the winners got lil bird plushies which I found absolutely ADORABLE but I lost 😭 so I seethed in envy for months until finally I ordered one for myself to celebrate all my progress in bird photography, and to help me emotionally since he’s been quite a great emotional support in the end with its fluffy round belly to hug

It’s been a weird ride for me to slowly understand what is a dove, a pigeon, or a “fake” pigeon. In all this recalibrating it’s made me really appreciate how loving and goofy wood pigeons are, especially compared to their feral counterparts.

I really dig all their Pixar expressions, and since we’ve added birdfeeders to our windows we get regular visits throughout the day to appreciate them which I really love!

Thousands of them haunt Berlin but they’re my favorite and my friends 🖤 I have a huge murder in our neighbourhood that I’ve been feeding here and there, it’s been amazing to slowly gain their trust and be able to admire them from up close.

An emotional support plushie that carried me through many horrible times, with the perfect spot to cry in between its fluffly ears. I still take it with me on some trips when I really need a comfort hug away from home.

The first of my comfort plushies, gotten in a kids section at Hema. This one is really really for kids but its so soft and cute and small, and more importantly so lively!! With its little arms I love making it react and do expressions and stuff to cheer me up. It was my first travel emotional support plushie

The first “adult” plushie I got, it was looking at me cutely from a stash near the cash register, and it became the first of a neverending series of cuties that helped me stay in touch with my inner child. Of course now it’s all gross but it’s still one of the most important ones.

My family’s had two beautiful Golden Retrievers and both girls were the absolute gold standard when it comes to being the nicest and prettiest dogs in the world 🐾

What to even say? They domesticated themselves and we’re lucky they were too lazy to go any further in their conquest. They’ve been here to help me get through my life at every step and I’ve tried to repay back their love tenfold ❤️

They have very varied personalities, mostly weird and sometimes assholes but I really dig them which is why i’m a catgirl :p

The curse that never ceases aggravating. I absolutely love a decent chunk of our species and of what we’ve accomplished, but it’s hard to balance it with the crushing cumulated generational weight of this calamity we’ve inflicted. BOTH on this universe and on ourselves. ⚖️

Thankfully I somehow still remain largely optimistic, and trusting about people!! And its a constant wonder to discover new people, and their history and tales. but my god… sometimes.. fuck people.

I love and have always been fascinated by ants by my god did garden ants terrorize me as a kid!! Living in a old house with gardens, it was sometimes a real war between the inside and outside as to who would get the food I’d bring to my bedroom and I lost for many years, and it’s a really horrible feeling to feel your room invaded, to worry about every itch while sleeping, to feel them crawling under the bed or in the dark corners 😭 I’m glad this hasn’t happened in years and I can admire these from afar

Learned about these during a guided mushroom tour I’d got as a gift and it’s super fun to watch for these little steps going up the trees. I especially love how they become living architecture for other things to use
