I loved the movie already which I still consider one of the best SF/horror movies out there, so I was really curious to dive into the Southern Reach series especially after hearing the story diverged heavily from the movie. And indeed while the latter borrowed some parts from the book it felt like a separate expedition into Area X so everything felt fresh and full of suspens, and I was on the edge of my page for most of it.

It was really an amazing plus over the movie to be in the main character’s head and see them change through the book from the inside as well. The prose is really dry and methodic while containing lots of beautiful descriptions, overall it does an amazing job at putting you in her head and shoes. I loved also how the “final” scene managed to be transcribed equally beautifully by text than in the crazy visuals of the movie. On that note I thought in terms of showcasing the wildness of the zone’s wilds the book was tamer than the movie, revealing less and playing more on the characters and the psychological horror than the actual “creations” of the zone. So I’m really eager to dig into the rest of the series, especially knowing it’s still ongoing. Now I just need to find them in library 😛

People compare this series to Jurassic Park a lot which immediately made me curious. But I wasn’t prepared oh no , not only is this book a FUCKING BLAST but it really reads like a great movie (and would make one too): in the way it describes scenes, in the characters and the way the action moves. But this script-like nature really works and makes for a tight pace that slowly and methodically unravels the horrors of Henders Island, while also having a lot of comedy and suspense, and I liked that it gets really nerdy with the science too even if it’s probably movie-deep there too compared to hard-SF.

And indeed it does feel like a great Jurassic Park very often and I mean this as a compliment as huge dino nerd and JP fan! But I loved discovering the cast of insane arthropod creatures conjured by the author and all the various fucked up things they’re capable of, and holy fuck does this book get extra gnarly at times but it makes the horror really visceral (literally sometimes), I already don’t fuck with ants but the story’s disk-ants send extra shivers down my spine. I really admired Nell for her absolute resolve and lack of fear in the face of so much of this shit but I also her absolute nerdiness in describing this untouched ecosystem and how it all works, and that part really delivers, it’s a very fun and well thought out world to plunge in (before something plunges in you).

Because the author would love to make it a movie he has spent a lot of time gathering/making visuals for the books so it’s also really been extremely fun to see come alive some of the best moments, and to compare with my own take on them 😛 But I do really hope the movie project goes somewhere because this deserves a big screen for sure. Give this shit half the budget of Avatar ffs. There is a sequel to the book that I’m really eager to dig in as well even if I’m sure it’ll be filled to the brim with many more disgusting shit to crawl all over my nightmares 🐜

I discovered this band years ago and instantly it was like finally founding a mix of ingredients I’d been seeking for a while. This dark slow metal with beautiful gloom vocals that could shift to actual screams when needed, harrowing strings melding into doom riffs like one, and so many gripping crescendos that still work on me and whose words resonate in my head years after.

I was almost devastated to learn so close to discovering them that they’d split, and had to loop them in sadness for years until randomly learning of their reforming as The Otolith and it was the best music news of that year because it’s been amazing to see them come back and sing their emotions and opinions to a modern day tune.

It’s not often that I read contemporary books but this one gripped me before even opening it, from the title and cover alone. What I expected was a modern political horror story and on that front it more than delivered; I loved the elegant simplicity of the full story but the clever way it’s slowly untangled, it reminded me in that way of Flanagan’s The Haunting of Hill House which was another clever modern spin on the original Shirley Jackson book which serves as self-admitted inspiration for this one.

But beyond that I wasn’t ready for what it would mean to read a first-person horror story narrated from a viewdpoint not unlike my own. While me and the book’s Alice don’t share the same views or the same lives, it often felt like she was in my head. Embedded deep, both when recounting stories of her life which echoed mine but also in all the trauma and fears that society inflicted on her. In that way, her haunting was as much mine as it was hers, and so it felt extremely difficult sometimes to go through the hardest of scenes, because it’s a violent and graphic book that spares no word in trying to haunt you too. As such not only were Alice’s words hard at times, but even more so Ila’s, because she’s of course not just a transphobic character, she’s a transphobic character written by a trans woman. She’s her own self doubts and fears projected back into page, all the ones that society embeds into you. And so again I sometimes found my enemy’s word to be echoing the dark thoughts in my head.

Above all I loved the premise and main metaphor of the book, describing fascism as a haunting of society. One born out of the cumulated trauma, hate and deaths that was inflicted and still permeates our modern world. One that can come back, haunt people, push them to act. One that you can’t just destroy but need to exorcise out the collective mind. I do think the metaphor is perhaps spelled out a bit too much, I think the parallels between the story’s real and theoretical haunting could have been highlighted more subtly. But I also agree with what she says about the time of subtly being over, because time and time again satire falls flat in the ears of the ones who would need it most. Fuck nazis you know! And her living the very real sinking of the UK into fascism I understand wanting to just put out in the open the raw black cruelty of it.

I still think about this book and will maybe take her next one although I believe it’s also in the same vein so I need a pause first to really digest this one and the things it also made me question about myself and my self-esteem. I think it’s maybe a book that affected me more as a trans woman like the author so of course it might not work on everybody the same but I really recommend it.

One of the most haunting and beautiful bands I know, I love how prominently dark the strings are, beautifully accompanied by the gorgeous vocals of Augustus Ghost and that weird glitchy electro that wraps them. I just love that combination of electro folk atmosphere.

And BTW it took me by such surprise to learn the meaning of the band’s name, I was always so enamored with it and I love to imagine the meaning of things! But no it’s just a bash of the member’s respective acts, Snow & Ghost, alas… Although perhaps in the end it just goes to confirm how ghostly the vocals sound that they’re sung by an actual ghost 👻

I bought this anthology to discover more horror authors from South America since it’s my understanding there’s a whole scene of it, just like french extremist horror is its own niche within horror films, and I wanted to get a sample of it. And I was NOT disappointed, this collection is short and to the point (of no return). It was exciting to discover parallel fears to my own, forged by centuries of history that I don’t have. And yet I could feel those stories, it truly felt like I was there in a lot of them. Some of the imagery in the book still stays with me, parts for how abstract and unknown the horror was like with the excellent Bone Animals or In The Mountains. Parts for how cruelly real it was like with That Summer in the Dark, Soroche or The House of Compassion (which resonated with me even more being transgender like the main character and author).

It was also very fun to go from one author’s style to another, which I wasn’t used to since I’ve never read “collections” like that from multiple authors. I’ve learned a bit about the Calico collection this came from and I really love the endeavour and how unique each entry seem to be so I’ll likely pick up more from it!

Discovered back then with that damn Game of Thrones’s trailer that was set to Seven Devils, I was blown away by the atmosphere and me and my wife listened to the early albums hundreds of time, it was even the first band we saw as a couple, and traveled to a whole-ass other country for! By car but still dammit!

And since then she’s accompanied us growing up in life with every release just expanding and bettering the one before. I truly think she’s one of the greatest artists of our times, and her insane vocal range only comes to cement it on top of her incredible talent and songwriting. I love that she doesn’t seem to sacrifice her universe over the years but just follows who she becomes herself as a person, and that’s just better and better, so to the next amazing album she’ll release, whenever that is 🥂

I picked this book up randomly based on the description and I devoured it in a few days. It reminded me of the best “near future speculative” Black Mirror episodes like Hated in the Nation, and I loved the multicharacter interweaving narration although I mixed up people a few times at first 😅 But the payoff of the storylines (mostly) converging was really fun.

And I really liked the various themes of the plot, as someone who always touts myself a revolutionary at heart it even touched on a few of my fears. Like how the decentralized nature of a good revolution is also its weakness, how you never know where the puppet strings end when helping one, how multiple aligned forces can sabotage each other by not knowing they’re working towards the same goal, etc. I’ll be interested to check the author’s other books as I believe they have this same mix of being 2/3 story and 1/3 questions/reflexions, mostly asked to the reader in a way which I liked.

I love when you start a classic and from the beginnings you instantly see why it is so. I picked up this book because back when Oumuamua said hello a lot of people mentioned it and so when I finally saw it at the book store I had to check it out, and my god I wasn’t disappointed. I read it so fast because the it has such a perfect pace, setup and delivery. It alternates perfectly moments of action, of wonder, of reflection, and all throughout making it feel so realistic and actual in its science aspects.

I got so engaged in the story that the book came and went very fast, as such it was weird for me to say goodbye to Rama so fast but the book plays on that as well through its characters. I was just disappointed to learn the rest of the books in the series don’t feel like this at all, being written by a friend of the author. And I mean I’m interested in the universe you’d setup but that doesnt mean you just make the fanfiction canon Arthur dammit!! YOU VET THAT SHIT. So now I will do like the Wikipedia article says and consider this book alone in its own little “true rama” series :(

I loved this little book, I grabbed it some time after finishing the first Wayfarer from the same author, so I knew from the get go her brand of slice of life sci-fi but I was starting to miss the positivity in my life 😅

This one was about four astronauts exploring four planets in a row for potential future spot for us. I thought it would go wilder but in the end I liked that the rollercoaster ride was replaced with scientific study of the actual planets.
It was really cool to feel part of the crew as you follow their explanations and experiments, as well as reflect on the kind of life and sacrifice they made by leaving Earth for so long with so many dangers just to help mankind “someday maybe”. So I found the book’s exploration of that really interesting and it reminded me a lot of Solaris which had a lot of these reflections around our place in relation to the greater forces and mystery of the universe.

I think it’s a short enough book that even the most detractor of Becky Chambers’s style would still be able to glide through it and appreciate but I’m sure I’m biased 😛 Anyway I recommend!!

A movie about a woman waking up trapped in a cryochamber with limited oxygen. The movie does really well with the Buried-like premise and I loved how it expanded on the possibilities with its sci-fi twist. Even though I guessed a few of the major plot points early one, I found it interesting how much deeper into the reflection the movie went and how the limited premise allowed itself to let the main character really think and ponder even existential things. Another very cool entry from Aja who continues to go in fun cool new directions with each movie since his beginnings.

What a WEIRD fucking book, and I picked it specifically because I wanted more of the author’s unique brand of “off”. I was expecting gothic horror but it was in fact a collection of “social (sometimes horror)” stories, each being very real life situations that take a spin for the odd. This is a book that hooked me on and off, and I almost dropped it even before being hooked again.

My issues are twofold tho: first of all the spin is sometimes hard to “get”, sometimes it does end up indeed being scary especially the more feminist stories that play on the fears one can have and such. But other times I just plain didn’t get it and had to look up explanations because they relied on having the experiences and fears of someone living a century ago.

But more importantly, all stories end right as they start, and it was a repeated almost intentional pattern that I didn’t manage to appreciate. From the very first story, that seems to end abruptly or be missing a page, the tone is announced. And sometimes that amplifies the scariness or commentary of the story… but sometimes it felt like a waste of time. Like watching only the beginnings of five movies in a row.

I still liked it for how it was a window into a different time which is something I really looked forward and that got really satisfied by how “real” the stories were. It was fascinating to read stories play on fears and anxieties that were, for lack of better words, the consequence of how shitty the times were, especially stories commenting how racist and sexist they could be.

What a glorious mess! I loved that it was super chaotic and wild, sometimes indeed too much for its own good so its not perfect but it’s quite unique and fun for a “remix” of an idea. A lot of the times it felt like someone tried to do a good version of Joker 2 🤡

Took me some time to finish it because this is a very slice of life book in the end, but once I got into it I really felt the hopepunk vibe I was sold on. I got to really know the characters and it was super fun and positive to “hang” with them through the book.

I’m eager to continue but first I want to let it settle and explore a bit people’s fanart because what I saw is awesome already!!

That movie was H O T but also sad in a way that constantly gives you whiplash. It wasn’t a beautiful love story but it was a fucked up toxic realistic one, altho it differs from the book a bit from what I’ve seen. It’s a weird movie but I liked it! All I know is that Alexander Skarsgård can tie me to a table any time

I 100%it and really loved it, it’s crafted with so much love. The story, the music, the art. I’m waiting for the second one to be complete to put my hands on it 😄 I played the first one years after anyway.

I still have some of the music in my library, the devs make their own music for every of their game, with the same singers and the woman who plays/sings Eurydice in particular I really love her tracks I have some of her tracks of some of their games I didn’t even play 😄

I loved how unapologetically weird and dark the main character was while at the same time expressing it mostly as a form of love for her family. I loved her relation with her sister and the characters, including the castle which is its own.
It’s a book that is dark while being full of light and cheer, I kept expecting it to go in a different direction which is always cool for an older work.

My version came with a cool afterword by someone else which highlighted the importance of food throughout the book and that’s something really interesting I hadn’t caught on, especially as she describes how it relates to Shirley Jackson’s own issues with food.

I saw there was a movie I’ll need to check it out I guess!

A succession of short horror stories weaved into a meta story about a girl starting work at an institute storing and studying haunted objects. The premise is super cool although the book is rather short so it never goes past using it as a decor and mean to move the stories forward and into one another.

But each story was really fun and cool, short enough that they never overstay their welcome and weird enough that you never know what to expect. Some fall short a bit though but that’s collections for you maybe. It also has a lot of humor and since the author is Korean there’s a lot of cultural tidbits and folkore and so on so it’s also very interesting from that point of view.

Overall a fun and short ride, a bit like a haunted house. The context of the institute reminded me of The Bureau in Control a bit so that was really fun too.

A show that takes the weirdest part of the books and puts the focus on it completely. It goes a bit off the rail but that’s part of the fun to watch it honestly! And it’s cool to see Pennywise’s powers in broader action even if the CGI sometimes doesn’t follow 😅

A good game with beautiful art that unfortunately doesn’t renew itself enough with the very shallow core gameplay it has. But it was fun to explore for a low price, it must have been fun to make the art for the game.

Absolutely love that game (just like every caiys game) but this one specially I found to be really well rounded and polished while still having tons of fun. It’s still technically a bullet heaven game so it’s not as active sometimes as other games but it’s not idle like some other can be. One of the few games I still play past 100% just because I miss it sometimes

One of my all time favorite games, and one that has followed me throughout my life from the first makeshit version from the original creator up to the new and improved Two Crowns that I spent so many hours in (and a few more hundred hours in coop with my wife). It’s so relaxing and beautiful especially as it goes for a “no interface” approach which really makes it feel like a small life simulation you peek in.
But it’s also very challenging at times, especially winter and later days although now both are easier with newer updates. I also love the biome system allowing you to play in different eras and stuff. Really a unique beautiful simple little gem of a game, so unique that I still struggle to find similar games to this day.

What a GOOD BOYYYY!! Really interesting and unique film that manages to make its premise land in beauty. It’s not a completely new take on the horror genre, it’s in fact more a sad film than a scary one, but it managed to keep me engaged. Especially because OF COURSE I’d get extra emotionally engaged in the fucking DOG!

A fascinating story that really stretches your imagination as it carries you on an observation voyage above the beautiful planet Solaris. I loved how hard-SF the story was, with multiple explanations of the history, study and philosophy around the whole “science” of the planet.

I also really liked how the main character seemed unphased by the situation, despite the story being permeated in surreal psychological horror. He keeps trying new experiments in the face of his conception of reality breaking at the seams, and rarely seems at a loss in the face of the unknown. At times it feels like the book is at its core a scientific study of particular cosmic horror.

The movie took some liberties and I regret missing all that “scientific” part but I liked that they doubled down on the psychological horror, making it feel even more like some of my darlings like Silent Hill 2.

What a brutal and soul-crushing movie, but at the same time what an amazing thrilling ride. I loved the balance between the supernatural horror and the societal horror, the reality of the neglect and abuse and how the unfairness of it burns to watch. It has so many batshit intense moments, sometimes gory sometimes just jawdropping. One of the best of recent horror but damn what a hard watch!

I loooooove that damn show, it’s so funny, well wired and engaging. I know it’s very formulaic but I don’t care the formula is 🔥 and I love the main character even if it’s really just Natasha Lyonne being herself as usual it’s always super entertaining

its like a mix between a cozy game and a dungeon crawler, it’s really cute and chill, easy to pick up and down but with still a bit of stuff everywhere to keep you in. The game’s objective are as much to relax and meet people as to kill stuff so aduno its a fun mix 😄 Its all in a fake austrian town so like you go buy health at the Apotheke and stuff, its very weird but funny to me 😄 Ive never been to the country so i dont know how accurate it is but i mean it looks super pretty at least!!

As a rabid falanagan and king fangirl i had to go see Life of Chuck at the kino and wow just, absolutely stunning movie. The guy just never misses dammit i love all his movies and shows! especially his King adaptations he’s like a modern Darabont 😀

This is definitely on the “makes you sob” side of King with Green Mile and Stand by Me and shit it’s hard to describe it 😅 definitely one of the more original ones i’ve seen lately even though it’s still adapted i know! It’s really a movie that shakes you at the emotion level, it plays so beautifully on both your dread and your hope strings, but it really wants you to grip the latter firmly and aduno i needed that right now! I still try to apply the main advice of the movie daily and often fail

A really cool exploration of first-hand accounts of both injustice and grassroots initiatives to combat them, it was quite an interesting followup to the last one as it gave concrete examples of a lot of the points raised. Not really a depressing read despite the title as the accounts of hope and selfless organization create a really cool balance

An extremely interesting dissection of the inputs/outputs/mechanics of our social system

I waited like 7 years for sale on Obra Dinn 🚢 i thought after all this time i’d maybe still be disappointed but no it’s such just an excellent well crafted puzzle/detective game 😭 it’s top tier.

You’re on a ship coming back with everybody gone and you have to solve all 50 deaths by going into flashbacks of the time of their death to slowly collect the truth of what happen in disorder, it’s really super such a unique but captivating game 🙏 and the completely unique visual style really sells it on top, it can be so pretty at times even in monochrome.

it's like doing 50 puzzles at once but all the pieces are shuffled into one pile basically. But with sea monsters and magic death watches.

Cute little survival horror game that makes you nostalgic for the best parts of the classics it borrows from. I loved the theme park environment of the game and all the little fun and winks it allowed, and it was really cool to see the game both not take itself too seriously while still allowing real moments of suspense. It’s a game that plays a lot on nostalgia, even in its themes a bit, but it’s not a complex multilayered masterpiece. It took me a few hours to 100% but those were hours well spent and I’d love to revisit it for the comfort of it one of these days.

After playing Lunacid I was looking for more retro horror dungeon crawlers, but I couldn't find anything that really went all in on it. But now Labyrinth of the Demon King is out and HOLY SHIT does it hit the mark....

One of my favorite shows still airing, I await every season with a gripping suspense of whether it’ll be good or bad, short or long, dark or light. It’s definitely a show that I feel has influenced society in some way, but I still can’t tell if all the futures it tried to warned us about ended up more cautionary tales or blueprints. It definitely gave me a lovely name to insult when I see my ugly mug reflected in a screen.

I think it’s lost steam a bit in its recent seasons so I’m not as much a fangirl as at the time of season 3 which is still my favorite with Playtest, San Junipero and Hated in the Nation. It’s really a modern sci-fi Twilight Zone and I love it for it

beautiful metroidvania platformer with amazing atmosphere and exploration, loved it through and through ❤️ a beautiful experience even if you can only appreciate it fully the first time cause so much relies on not knowing that you can do this or that (since the game can be completed in any order). a bit like Tunic but more platformer oriented 

Watching the excellent (and completely unhinged) Possession (1981) and I keep thinking that baby Sam Neill is Dan Stevens 😅 to be fair the latter has become such a horror darling to me that I had forgotten who was the OG at playing madness.

Adjani absolutely KILLS it too I heard Adjani's acting inspired the acting in the new Nosferatu then I guess I should finally see it!

Been playing Lunacid over the holidays, a horror dungeon crawler that pays homage to early FromSoft with some twists. And like for Silent Hill 2 I've been loving playing with the VHS filters, it both enhances the scariness but also makes it eerlie comforting which I know lots have said already

i guess in both audio and video noise feels scary and comforting cause its all possibilities at once. Its the initial noise just like in latent diffusion in a way, but i love how it also comes to obstruct the actual information with itself, making it more terrifying to experience

anyway go play Lunacid its full of neat details and its both scary, direct and fun!!

What a masterpiece, I’ve dreamed of a remake ever since the original broke my heart and at no point did it disappoint. You could see it was made by fans for fans, with tons of small nods and changes, expansions on lost ideas. It was a beautiful dark terrifying game that just never lets on to let you breath out the nightmare for a second. I played it at a moment where I needed to go through it and in a way it helped me process things like the original did

This is a game that I started years ago, in VR mind you (aka the scariest way to play it) only for me to nope out barely a third into a game. After that it took me years of people constantly repeating how much of an unequaled masterpiece it was, to finally give it a proper shot start to end, on a flat screen this time 😅 

And YES fucking YES it IS an unrivaled masterpiece, and the Alien is a big part of it and what I expected most from since I’m a huge fan of the series. And it never disappoints, it really manages to feel smart and menacing and to apply this crushing pressure on you that you only feel in Alien 1 or 3.

I do think it had some slight pacing issues, especially the sections where you have to slow-walk, my god, they bring the game to such a crawl every time it’s maddening. But this is nothing compared to how gripping and immersive the game is. It actually at times feel like an immersive sim lite with how creatively it lets you solve problems which is very cool especially on the hardest difficulties. But on the latter it can feel a bit bullshit at times too. I gave some time to the other game modes but I’m just too shit at them and it’s really the story and experience that strung me through the campaign.

Genesis Alpha One is a roguelike spaceship building/space exploration/tower defense-ish game, and I spent already like 40h in it but I couldn't quite put my finger on why I'd always come back to it but yesterday it hit me. It's basically an incremental in disguise:

• You have resources pipelines which you can slowly upgrade or control directly to make them go faster (buildings and clicking)
• You have clones which you can also upgrade and assign to spots to process things automatically (workers)
• You slowly unlock more upgrades and resources as you explore more of the game (incremental upgrades)
• There is an infinite concept of NG+ where you can start new runs with some of the things from the last run like your ship (prestige)
• numbers go brrrr (brrrrrr)

Those are all common traits of a lot of games but the trick of it is how idle the game can be if you so chose it. While you can do everything yourself in the game, you're encouraged to create more clones and upgrade them to automate as much as possible, same for defenses which you can lay out to handle the crux of combats. Which means you can let the game idle and watch your ship work like a well oiled machine while resources build up, acting purely as a captain.

I'm by no means saying it's Cookie Clicker in 3D of course but if you're looking for more fleshed out AA games that still tick the same areas of your brain, and you fancy space or roguelikes, I'd give this one a go, it's honestly a pretty good game. It's a bit expensive for the level of polish but on sale it's a good grab.

This game is like my comfort game, which I suppose is ironic to some considering how gross, violent and sad it can be. It’s a game that followed me through my life from the very first Flash version through all the extensions and revivals. It’s actually really incredible to see Edmund McMillen’s life dedication to this game and to how it became a symbol of not only his work, but also his various messages including his trauma with religion.

It’s a game I know by heart, somehow, and that I could play almost without looking (which I’ve done at times, because neurodivergence requires 3 things at once) yet that can still make me fail and rage regularly, especially the hardest dickiest challenges.
I don’t even think I’ve ever 100%ed it contrary to many other fan players. I just like to reason, minmax for hours sometimes way past the point where a run is clearly won. It’s what makes it so comforting, knowing every mechanic and strategy, and not playing the game but letting it play with me and react back. Sometimes even taking terrible decisions for fun.

I still probably haven’t played a third of the gold you can find on the Workshop although I did have a long phase where I tried a lot, including very indie ones that had a lot of defaults but soul and I really want to try again someday as it was really cool to see people tone shift the game.

Signalis is probably one of the deepest and most beautiful games I’ve played in recent years. Its retro survival horror wrapping means its likely not for everyone but for those who feel it could be up their alley its a magnificent psychological cosmic horror love story full of symbolism and reflexion and i’m so deep in the rabbit hole at this point im playing the music on the piano and reading fanfics. And yes theres a bunch of silent hill references but i’ll excuse it cause so far its probably the best silent hill game even if not in name. Sorry kojima.

Grime is an excellent Soulsvania with a beautiful cosmic horror story and universe, really unique game and the NG+ has a lot of content to explore which is not always the case so I’m excited for my second visit

An awful terrible no good movie, whose only redeeming quality is bearing the name of a greater undethronable movie, and having flying baby sharks. I actually recommend this movie purely for the baby sharks , because they’re cute but mortal.

Was briefly a good game until its creator revealed himself to be an alt right asshole and got into fights until he got the game and his Steam account banned

Probably my favorite band these days, they tapped into my raw emotions and thoughts so many times that they almost feel like a coping companion. And I just LOVE this industrial mix of electro and noise they almost pioneered, the intensity and grit of their sound. It feels like the true soundtrack to the end times

The best of 90s FPS mixed in with modern concepts, all through an amazing campaign with level designs becomes crazier and crazier as you progress. There's some nice replayability too with different badges to get for each level, each demonstrating how beautifully crafted the levels are both to explore and find ever secret in, and to speedrun and blast your way through like a madman. There's also some legit horror moments in there, the endless mode is also very fun to play, the weapons are cool and all the references to your favorite games and nice touches.Overall a challenging masterpiece with a nice 6/8h campaign and more if you want to complete the hell out of it and find all there is to find.

This game felt like playing a Black Mirror episode but with a heavy dose of humor on top. I loved every second of it and although the game does give you some choice here or there it's not very replay able, so I wish I could reexperience it for the first time, all the twists and discovery. It's also great the way the game really takes advantage of the VR format to tell its story. All in all a great one!

Basically Insidious 3 is like a piece out of a superhero franchise but where they only have powers in the down under or whatever. Otherwise it's the same formula: random ghost villain pops up, the Elisevengers come in to save the day, they go into the whateverworld and kick the ghost's ass. That's what Insidious 3 is.
