As much as there are places I go to that let me know from the very first step that they'll have a lot to offer me, after walking around the two floors of this building I was reluctant to turn back and wait for a better subject for a series. There are some things about wandering around abandoned places that - while once awe-inspiring - end up becoming commonplace. The remains of various squats are one of these; at first, you're surprised and admiring all the little traces of life, mattresses and clothes, left as if after a catastrophe. Then, after a while, you stop paying attention. I really wanted to turn back, then I veered off and came across a tiny little building embedded in brambles and trees, and saw a door ajar. From there, my curiosity did the rest. I don't know what suddenly motivated me to take a couple of shots. I'm betting on the fact that the walls of each room were entirely covered with the same poster, as if some maniac had wanted to hide every inch of the wall: it piqued my interest. I did each room by navigating between them via holes in the walls, which was very Silent Hill 4 at the time, but the doors had been blocked from the outside. I found very little... it was a bit like a building in which five people had been left to survive for five months until they went mad and killed each other.
